There are still 10 days left to donate to the Haiti Nursing Foundation and have your donation matched! Through May 31st, the HNF Board of Directors will be matching donations made to celebrate, honor, and recognize nurses. Contributions will be matched in one of three ways: 3x match for donations made by nursing students; 2x match for donations made by current or retired nursing professionals; and 1x match for donations made by others in honor of a nurse. Donate to the “We Love Nurses” Match Challenge here.

The National Association for Interpretation is going global this week with the NAI International Conference on Interpretation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But while NAI members are busy brushing up on their Portuguese, don’t get confused – the National Association for Interpretation focuses not on linguistic interpretation, but rather on the interpretation of cultural, natural, and historic resources, like parks, museums, zoos, and monuments. NAI provides professional development, conferences, networking, and advocacy for many different interpretation professionals such as park rangers, tour operators, docents, historians, and naturalists.

Summer vacation is almost here! As the school year winds down, don’t forget to support your local nonprofit schools. These schools often rely on fundraising and volunteers to help bridge the gap between tuition revenue and their necessary operating expenses. Many nonprofit private schools – such as the Boulder Valley Waldorf School in Niwot, Colorado, or Ann Arbor Academy in Ann Arbor, Michigan – offer scholarships and tuition assistance to families in need. For smaller schools without an endowment, scholarships are commonly funded by individual contributions and fundraising events. Your donation can make a big difference in helping disadvantaged community members access quality education for their children.
