Colorado
In a collaboration with Colorado Humanities, Colorado State University Libraries, and History Colorado, The University Press of Colorado recently announced the release of a Colorado Encyclopedia prototype. This mobile-friendly resource includes articles written and reviewed by the state’s top scholars on hundreds of Colorado topics. The 2017 scholarship application period for the American Mountain Guides Association is now open! If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a rock, alpine, or ski guide, AMGA’s scholarships, training courses, and membership programs can help you reach your goal. AMGA is offering 24 scholarship opportunities this year, covering a range of mountaineering disciplines.

In partnership with the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, The Arts Alliance of Ann Arbor was recently awarded a $100,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts! With this grant, The Arts Alliance will collaborate to conduct a countywide arts and cultural education assessment with the goal of ensuring all Washtenaw County students will have access to educational programs that integrate the arts.
