On July 29, Trische' Duckworth - Director of Program Development and Outreach at SOOAR (Strategies to Overcome Obstacles and Avoid Recidivism) - will instruct a free suicide prevention training course hosted by Fight For Your Life Campaign in Detroit, Michigan. Course participants will become certificated in the QPR Method of suicide prevention. An acronym for "Question, Persuade, Refer," the QPR method is one of the most widely-taught suicide prevention methods in the world. Learn more about SOOAR's suicide prevention training.

Did you know that China is becoming a powerful world leader for the environment and wilderness protection? The WILD Foundation has spent three years working in China to help build a strong wilderness policy in the country's fledgling eco-civilization framework. Earlier this month, the WILD Foundation brought a first-of-its-kind delegation to China's largest environmental conference. Therapeutic Riding, Inc. is partnering with PATH International Michigan to host a "Brain Gym" seminar geared toward professionals in the therapeutic riding industry, as well as parents and caregivers. This educational seminar provides an opportunity to gain continuing education and a better understanding of the tools that can enhance the experience of therapeutic riding participants.
