Colorado

Palmer Land Trust was in the news recently as El Paso County took the first steps to preserve Jones Park, a natural area on the southeast slope of Pikes Peak that provides a home for the threatened greenback cutthroat trout. Palmer Land Trust is also seeking nominations for the 7th Annual Southern Colorado Conservation Awards, an event honoring significant conservation achievements of individuals and organizations that advance the well-being of southern Colorado’s communities, people, ecologies, and economies.

WeRobotics is in the Amazon this month, testing drone technology as a way to deliver life-saving medication between remote Peruvian villages. Although their initial testing didn’t quite go off without a hitch, they discovered a budget-friendly silver lining.
