Colorado

emBOLDen Alliances is working Health Access Connect, an organization that links healthcare to people living in remote areas, such as rural Uganda, to help provide a strategic framework and clarify their data through GIS mapping software. Kevin Gibbons from Health Access Connect posted on the emBOLDen Alliances blog about their partnership and the challenging process of compiling data in an efficient and easy-to-understand way.

Shining Mountain Waldorf School, a fully accredited Pre-K through 12th grade school in Boulder, CO, unveiled their new strategic plan to a packed auditorium. Formed through a months-long process of gathering data and exploring important issues within the Shining Mountain Waldorf community, the school has identified five major themes that will direct their strategy and vision over the coming years. Michigan

The Arts Alliance, an Ann Arbor-based organization that supports and advocates for the creative sector and the arts, recently recognized outstanding achievements in the arts, sciences, and humanities in Washtenaw County, MI. At this annual event, the Arts Alliance awarded medals of excellence in philanthropy, education, and leadership to innovative individuals and organizations in a celebration of the creative community. Fostering Futures, a nonprofit child placement agency in Ann Arbor, MI, is offering local foster and adoptive parents a chance to relax and take some time for themselves with an evening of free childcare on February 19th. All children in the family are welcome, and will be cared for and entertained by a large group of verified volunteers.
