One of the best things about working at Altruic Advisors is the strong team environment, despite being spread out among several different states and office locations. Whether we’re conducting an on-site nonprofit organization audit, meeting with clients at one of our six local offices, or demonstrating new accounting software via video chat from a home office, we always feel like part of a team. We may be a small accounting firm, but we’re a close-knit one!
But even with phones, email, and video conferencing, there’s no substitute for real, face-to-face contact. That why we think it’s important to get the whole firm together at least once a year to greet new staff members, talk business - and have a little fun, too!
This year, we met up at a sunny farmhouse in Longmont, Colorado (about 20 miles north of our Broomfield office) to discuss our services, our recent experiences, and our goals for the future. After a productive meeting and some delicious Pad Thai from a local restaurant, some of our team members made the short drive to beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. As we drove up Trail Ridge Road, through hairpin curves and steep mountain cliffs, we were left in awe at Colorado’s natural beauty. After a hike at Bear Lake and a very windy photo opportunity at Forest Canyon Overlook - it may be June, but it’s always chilly above tree-line! - we ate a delicious meal in Estes Park before going saying goodbye.
Whether we work with nonprofits in Colorado, Michigan, or Washington, DC, we’re all part of the same team at Altruic Advisors!
