How To Deal With Last-Minute Clients

“Ryan Hagan, CPA, the managing partner of Altruic Advisors, a virtual accounting firm focused on serving not-for-profit organizations around the country, started in public accounting 22 years ago. At that time, many of his clients came in right before a tax deadline, often with complicated situations that increased the chance of delay.”

New Tax Law Could Crush Nonprofits…Or Maybe Not

“Hagan is a partner with Altruic Advisors, an Ann Arbor-based CPA firm working solely with nonprofits….He said nonprofits may need to start working more closely with their most devoted donors, organizing a schedule: bundle donations every other year, for instance, so itemizing trades off with taking the standard deduction as the most profitable way to file.”

Altruic Advisors Welcomes New Partner

DENVER, CO. – Altruic Advisors, one of a select few CPA firms in the United States that works exclusively with nonprofit organizations, today announced a new addition to the company’s management team. To meet the needs of their growing client base, Kevin Rickman has been brought on as partner to help manage the firm’s audit, tax, and nonprofit advisory services. Kevin will also assume the role of Director of Audit and Accounting for the firm.

“We are all thrilled to have Kevin join our team,” said Ryan Hagan, managing partner at Altruic Advisors. “Given our singular focus to the causes of nonprofit organizations, we knew it was important to bring on a partner who was equally devoted to serving our nonprofit clients. Kevin is certainly well-equipped for the challenge as he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in nonprofit auditing and accounting. We are very fortunate to have a CPA like Kevin on our team.”

Kevin brings more than ten years in diverse accounting, auditing, and tax experience to his new role. A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, Kevin has enjoyed a thriving career at Brock and Company CPAs since 2007. Focused on services for small to medium sized nonprofit organizations, he is committed to delivering services that meet each client’s unique objectives. Kevin has expertise in providing comprehensive accounting and attest services, including nonprofit information and income tax returns. He serves on the board of directors of the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley and on the audit committee of Elevations Credit Union.

“I am looking forward to my new position at Altruic Advisors. I have enjoyed giving what I can back to nonprofits and now I am able to do it exclusively,” Kevin remarked.

With their new partner, Altruic Advisors continues its robust growth, including a recent expansion into Washington, D.C. By providing financial and accounting services exclusively for nonprofit organizations, Altruic Advisors transforms a traditionally “off-season” niche into the primary focus of their firm, and provides nonprofits with the attention and financial expertise they deserve.
